What started as an improvement has become quite a project.

More systems involved. More time from your team. A bigger investment than you expected. You can follow the reasoning—but will it deliver the improvement your business needs?

I’m Julius. I work with ecommerce owners and teams to examine what’s needed, investigate the technical details and work out a sensible way forward.

Delivered as agreed.
But did it make things better?

A project can meet its requirements and still fall short of the business improvement behind it. Capable people can do their jobs well while the original goal becomes harder to see among technical requirements and implementation decisions.

I look at those things together: what you want to improve, how the business operates, and what the technology actually requires.

That means examining the proposal, speaking with your team and working through the details with your developers and agency. Together, we establish what to pursue, what to question and what can wait.

Sometimes there’s a smaller way to begin. Sometimes the larger investment makes sense. I have no particular system or implementation to sell.

The wrong questions we ask

Our online shop sometimes felt slow. A search for monitoring tools made us question what we really needed: a way to connect technical performance with business outcomes.

Independent advice.
Practical experience.

Hi, I’m Julius.

I’ve worked inside an established ecommerce business and alongside founders and their agencies—dealing with the practical consequences of technical decisions.

My experience spans ERP integrations, shop development, search, tracking, data and email marketing. That breadth helps me see how a decision in one area affects customers, colleagues and systems elsewhere.

I’m comfortable getting into the technical detail with the people doing the work, then bringing the conversation back to what it means for the business. We can work together on a particular question, or return to the conversation as new decisions arise.

Start with something
you’re working through.

A proposal you’re weighing up. A change that keeps growing in scope. A problem that crosses your shop, operations and systems.

We begin with a conversation about the situation. If there’s useful work for me to do, we agree the scope and fee before it starts.

A few sentences are enough. I’ll get back to you to arrange a conversation. If you like, include a couple of times that suit you.
